Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Fatal Crash: 57-Year-Old Man ID'd As Victim On Southern State Parkway In Oyster Bay One person was killed in a crash on the Southern State Parkway involving two vehicles. It happened around 2 p.m. Friday, May 31 in Oyster Bay. Man Struck, Killed By SUV In Brentwood Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash on a Long Island roadway. It happened just before 9 p.m. Friday, May 31, in Brentwood. Suffolk County Police said a man was crossing Wicks Road, just south of Merrill Street when he was struck by a southbound 2016 Honda CRV driven by a 58-year-old Bay Shore man. The man was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. Fatal Smithtown Crash: 29-Year-Old From Farmingville ID'd As Victim Police are investigating a fatal overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 3:45 a.m. Friday, May 31, in Smithtown, on East Main Street, approximately 100 feet west of Terry Road. Suffolk County PD detectives say they determined Cory Fitzpatrick, age 29, of Farmingville, was traveling eastbound on a 1999 Harley-Davidson when he lost control of the motorcycle.  According to police, the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a curb, a sign, and a fire hydrant before crashing into a fence.
